About the Student Voting Summit
The 2020 Michigan Student Voter Summit will invite participants to come together for a day of civic learning and reflection, organizing and networking. This event is open to students and campus representatives from colleges and universities across the state.
Participants who attend the 2020 Michigan Student Voter Summit will:
Reflect upon, celebrate and learn from past campus democratic engagement efforts

Share strategies to institutionalize campus democratic engagement efforts and mobilize student voters in Michigan.

Strengthen the network of Michigan college campuses working to amplify student voices in our democracy!
empower students
with the information
they need to
register and vote.
Historically, young adults have voted at lower rates than older cohorts. They are also the newest members of our democracy, move more frequently, are less likely to have a driver’s license, and are less likely to be contacted directly by political campaigns then older age groups, all of which are barriers to registering and voting.
