Campus Vote Project works with universities, community colleges, faculty, students and election officials to reduce barriers to student voting. Our goal is to help campuses institutionalize reforms that empower students with the information they need to register and vote. Check out some of our work:

  • Student Voter Engagement Handbook: This handbook includes information about Barriers to Student Registration and Voting, Getting Started: Making Your Campus Voter Friendly, Meeting with College Administrators, Meeting with Local Elections Officials, Strategies to Raise Awareness of Upcoming Elections, Registering Students to Vote, Voter Education Campaigns, Help Students Make a Voting Plan, For Student Organizers: Road to Election Day Timeline, Sustaining Your Student Engagement Efforts and more!

  • Youth Voting Rights: We are dedicated to supporting increased access to the democratic process, specifically highlighting and tackling the barriers that young people and students face. We work to help young people gain access to the polls in a variety of ways including hosting the Youth Voting Rights Working Group with support from Rock the Vote and CIRCLE.

Resources provided by various city clerks.

Ottawa County:

  • We just launched an election security website, www.miottawa.org/securingthevote

  • We also have a great deal of information on our website, including information about absentee voting, and how to find your elected officials and polling places in Ottawa County. All of that can be found on www.miottawa.org/elections

Ann Arbor:

  • The Ann Arbor City Clerk’s Office has an elections website at www.a2gov.org/elections which includes information for student voters in Ann Arbor, as well as an online sign-up for absentee ballots, and a real-time Election Day line tracker. As shared at the meeting in the chat, we have digital “I Voted” stickers that are social media ready at www.a2gov.org/a2votes

  • Attached are voting posters that we made specifically to assist residents of dormitories in finding the correct on-campus polling site. Each one was specific to the polling location, but also contained all of the information for all campus. Feel free to share!
